Rebuilding Posture (and Breaking Bad Habits)
Relearning how to sit properly — and letting go of years of bad posture — isn’t easy. It’s a long process that affects more than you might think.
Beyond rethinking how you sit throughout the day, I had to replace several worn-out pieces of furniture, including cushions and chairs. And yes, even the driver’s seat in the car!
My effort to improve my posture and finally address recurring tendonitis issues has been a daily commitment over many months.
The process included adjusting my desk height, positioning the keyboard correctly, buying a new ergonomic chair, and doing daily stretching and strengthening exercises — often outdoors.
As a bonus: I now know every bird clan in the field next to my workspace!
All in all, it was a solid seven-month journey, and I wrote this month’s editorial content throughout that process of physical and professional rebalancing. I hope it will help you make more informed choices when setting up your own home office.
