At the beginning of August, Asana sent me this email this morning for the magazine and the article to be produced this week:
Reminder: Project Name: Project 12 Annual Article
Objective: Explain how to design a magazine like a fictional website, different each month in 2025, to explore, test, and document 12 different design styles.
Editorial Goal: To offer inspiring content to Monthly readers, showcase creative design ideas, and encourage experimentation.
I must admit, this article is my favorite to produce and write all year! Let's get to it now, I've been waiting for this moment since last week, haha!
The Progress of Project 12
Yes, Project 12 is the name of the file on my computer containing promotional images for the Monthly Ticket magazine. It contains design ideas for the 12 editions of a given year of publication, like the magazine covers, promo images and advertisements, and even the editing of the reels and the thematic clips.
The basic idea for the magazine's branding was to add color to the website, which features articles on a white background. Furthermore, it was essential to follow the style of the previous year, Project 12 for 2024.
For 2025, color, music, and theme are revealed in this article. From design to presentation, we cover each step of developing the annual campaign for Web + Marketing magazines.

2024, THE FIRST EDITION
Design for a 12-edition magazine
Since the website makes extensive use of rectangles and squares, it was important to maintain this style in the article and promotional images, while also creating something dynamic and instantly eye-catching, whether viewed up close on a mobile device or from afar on the third-grade screen in the office. All accompanied by a musical score: the W+M YouTube playlist of MusicScores!

2025, ADVERTISING W+M SERVICE
The Marketing Blog provides an opportunity to introduce your business to readers through ad placement in targeted articles.
These ads are available to businesses wishing to purchase banner ads to showcase their products and services to readers at a reasonable cost, including a percentage of a meta advertising budget.
2025, THE DESIGN
Project 12 of 2025 is unveiled
Discover the garden branding. Inspired by the colors of flowers from local terraces, flowerbeds, and gardens!
Project 12 of 2025 is the natural evolution of W+M magazine's branding, with an even more assertive creative shift.
The branding, designed to last, takes the production mechanics of the 2024 visuals (12 colors, 12 monthly themes, 12 visual identities) and injects a touch of narrative structure, more freedom of tone, and smoother integration with our digital tools.
Yes, the method works: 1 template, 12 color versions, 48 visuals created in 1 day, and the next day, variations are added for Stories, Reels, social profiles, banners, email signatures, website headers, and products in the store.
What we call profitable production, but above all, sustainable.

JANUARY 25
Mango Power for the Digital Marketing Trends of January 2025
To kick off this new series, we chose a vibrant mango shade. Why? Because in January, we need a color that awakens, warms, and energizes our digital marketing.

Each image clearly displays the monthly editorial theme: Marketing Trends. What a great way to kick off the year strong, with current ideas and tools ready to be tested.
Promotional images of the 5 digital marketing trends for 2025:
FEBRUARY 25
February 2025 – Green Avocado strengthens ties.
After the vibrant glow of January's mango yellow, February adopts a creamy avocado hue, synonymous with strength, kindness, and authenticity. It's the perfect month to discuss customer relations, team presentations, and company history. Hence the theme: About Us pages.
MusicScore: Shake it Up - The Cars.
The February visuals play on the contrasts between avocado green, the secondary colors of the palette, and softer textures (blurred light, stage photography). The branding is clearly visible:
A main image with a centered white title
A colored upper band
Marketing elements such as avocados or pastel touches (pink, lilac, beige)
A layout optimized for clips (Stories, Reels) and promotional banners
This design aims to build trust, emphasize the human behind the brand, and encourage readers to read the presentation pages.

MARCH 25
March 2025 and raspberry to assert its digital presence
A bold raspberry hue, a vibrant pink-red that grabs attention while evoking structure and confidence. This month's editorial theme? Facebook for business.
A perfect topic to discuss a structured digital presence, professional pages, sponsored content... and a social network that still reigns supreme among many customers.

This month's branding focuses on:
A raspberry hue for the main background
Large, centrally located white typographic elements
A darker purple accent in the partner versions
A clear composition for banners, stories, posts, and clips

This month also marks a turning point in the year: we're exploring powerful tools and visible strategies. Facebook becomes the pretext to talk about digital credibility, content formats, target audiences, and well-configured company pages.

April 2025 – Biscuit Brown: Understanding, Informing, and Supporting
In April, the color of Project 12 inspires a rounded and soft visual, perfect for tackling a subject as technical as it is delicate: digital cookies.
MusicScore: 15 Steps - Radiohead.
The neutral tone and light touch of cookie imagery were used to soften the subject for readers, and an April Fools' Day magazine launch promo featuring a cookie recipe evokes the familiarity of cookies, the understated seriousness of data tracking, and the need for transparency in marketing.
April's visual branding is structured around:
A soft sandy brown background, neither too pale nor too bright
Clearly legible typography in white or black
A subtle background texture evoking digital "mesh"
A complementary block for clips, promos, and partners
The theme is supported by strong content:

Conclusion
Project 12 continues to evolve month after month, like a visual exploration journal.
Establishing a visual production process for a monthly magazine and its advertisements and promotions is a great advantage. It's crucial to organize basic templates for each campaign, column, or article and find ways to improve efficiency as we work on our campaigns. This way, by the end of the first year, when it's time to produce the second set of visuals for the following year, production time will have been cut by more than half by using the same templates, and so on.
Is it really necessary to change the look and create new templates every year? If we study the major newspapers and popular magazines, radical changes in the look and style of visuals or layouts occur within periods of 5 to 8 years. Readers tend to appreciate continuity and longevity in the looks and web designs of their favorite daily reads.
